NAVA's Charm Bar

I’m not kidding when I say I only had this on for 15 minutes before getting my first of many, many compliments on this necklace. The second I walked into a coffee shop with it on, I heard “Oh my gosh, where did you get your necklace?” and I was thrilled to tell the barista about NAVA Providence’s gorgeous charm bar.

For background, NAVA is a women-owned and operated boutique in Providence, RI. They have been in business since 2008 and celebrated 17 years in business last month (May, 2025!). They’ve been “keeping things cute in PVD since 2008!”. NAVA sells clothing, gifts, home, and vintage. They carry clothing up to sizes 3xl and are open 7 days a week. Twice a year, they are a vital part of the Wickenden Street Market that hosts 50 local markers, artists, and food trucks for a “block party” style event. I have personally attended this and it is such a fun, community based event.

When I first heard about the charm bar, I was SO excited to create my own piece, but I was a bit worried I wouldn’t be able to put together something that I really like. I’m not the most creative person when it comes to fashion, and sometimes can get overwhelmed by choice. Truly, each piece that NAVA has to put on your necklace, bracelet, keychain, or earrings is stunning and special. Thankfully, the sweet, helpful team behind the charm bar and NAVA boutique helped me narrow down my choices and create something I really love.

Providence has a long, rich history in the jewelry industry. It was once a dominant industry here, and NAVA is keeping it alive. They’ve sourced lots of vintage and deadstock charms that are one of a kind. You can tell they’ve gone to great lengths to make sure each piece is unique, because each jewelry wearer is unique!

When you design a piece of jewelry at NAVA, each piece is individually priced so that you can mix and match to build a piece to your style and budget. Chains for bracelets and necklaces begin at $24, and charms begin at $5 each. You can build a piece that fits your individual budget. Charms can be sourced specifically for events and parties on a case by case basis, and they can travel to off-site events as well!

Personally, I know my clients who are in the area for bachelorette parties and weddings would absolutely love this unique activity to do with their friends, bridesmaids, mother in laws, and more! I can imagine a group of bridesmaids each making a special bracelet or necklace to wear at the wedding that is personal, unique, and most importantly, they will want to wear it again!
